Be you, let go

This past weekend was pretty relaxed. I got to spend a ton of time with my family which I love and we had a great time. I have been debating changing my hair up, I should probably do a post about it but I really want a light brown bob. Personally, I cannot tell you why, I just do.

I got this dress off Etsy and it's by a Nigerian brand called Eve and Tribe. My favorite part of the dress is the color blocking. I travel to Nigeria quiet often (going in a few weeks) and I love discovering new designers and fabric stores. My favorite places to go are Tinubu and Balogun market, they have absolutely everything. It just makes me want to skip up and down the street. It has made me appreciate Nigeria even more because there is so much potential. The amount of innovation happening is quiet inspiring, especially the fashion industry. It's growing so fast. The main problem is the infrastructure, so its hard to do production on large scales but it's very possible. I really admire sites like Asos that deliver to Nigeria because many brands don't. They understand that theirs obviously a need and people should have access to great clothes all over the world. Living in the states we are so lucky to have access to absolutely everything that we want that sometimes we forgot that others don't have the same luxury.

I have been working really hard on a few projects that I can't wait to share with you all. Fashion is something that I love because of how easy it is to express yourself. My tip for anyone trying to find their personal style is to just wear what you feel comfortable in and just start from somewhere. It shouldn't be science project that takes large amounts of time, just put pieces together and see how it works. There are many peoples style that I personally admire because of how creative and daring they are with their dressing, that doesn't always mean that I would wear the same thing. There is a big difference. Life is too short to be restricted in a box and doubt yourself. I encourage each and everyone of you to take risks and do epic things in your life. Be you! Everyone has a starting point! Yes I know that it can be scary to take the first step but I promise you it can be so rewarding. Take risks and live life with no regrets!

xx
